What's in The News Today

Iran are sending ships to U.S. waters. Iran is sending ships to the Atlantic coast. "The Navy of Iranian Army"  will have a dominating presence in the United States. The Navy commander made its announcement yesterday and stated "they are doing what is done in their country and the arrogant force made by other countries at their borders."

Facts or fiction about Facebook. Will they start charging? No, they will not charge. This rumor has made it to the main headquarters and they needed to address it. They stated that "FB users are not their customers, but their products. " Can friends see the websites I visit when I'm not on Facebook? Yes, only when FB users give permission to share this information and it will show up on your friends news feed, but it can be tricky so be careful especially, if you are looking for a job and your boss is a friend on FB that may become a problem. Will FB share photos? They will do a timeline, which will show what year you started FB and what you have been doing since then in a chronological order. You can still remove photos and resize images. Does FB monitor my activity when I'm logged in? Yes, through your cookies and it transmits the sites you visit and sends it to Facebook. FB stated this prevents spam and phishing attacks (scams) and they delete FB users information immediately.

Thirteen people have died due to eating cantaloupes. Listeria bacteria is the culprit for killing 13 people and 72 illnesses in 18 states. The cantaloupes are from Rocky Ford cantaloupes grown at Jensen Farms in Colorado. The deaths: 2 in Kansas, 1 Maryland, 1 Missouri, 1 Nebraska, 1, New Mexico, 4 Oklahoma and 1 Texas. Illnesses were in California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Montana, N. Dakota, Virginia,  W. Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming. The cantaloupes were shipped July 29 through September 10.
