What's in The News Today

A Ohio woman was forced off a plane on 911 with two other people. Shoshana Hebshi 35-years-old was shocked when she was forced off a Frontier Airlines because she and two other people spent too much time in the bathroom. She was handcuffed, stripped searched and held in custody for 4 hours. She  feels she was targeted because she is Middle Eastern. She stated she was "humiliated and violated because of her appearance." All three people were cleared and released.

On Tuesday another airline US Airways from New York to Phoenix was diverted to St.Louis for the fear of terrorism. When three men became a concern due to unusual activity the plane was diverted. The three men were Israeli citizens and there were no terrorism involved.

A 101-year-old woman was evicted from being foreclosed. Texana Hollis from Detroit was evicted after living in the home for 60 years.  Her son didn't pay the mortgage for years and ignored eviction notices. Hollis was evicted on Monday and all her clothes and furniture was placed outside. She was taken to the hospital when she became disoriented. A neighbor allowed Hollis and her son to live in their rental house across the street and a non-profit organization is trying to get her house back.

15% percent of Americans are living in poverty. The U.S. Census Bureau released their findings that more than 46 million Americans are living below federal poverty line. The poverty line for one person is $11,139 annually and $22,314 for a family of four.
