What's in The News Today v

 A village was found underground in Central Park, New York. "Seneca Village" was a mixture of African-Americans and Irish (2/3 African Americans and 1/3 Irish). In the 1840's Irish immigrants came to the village. The village dates back to 1827-1857 and has been buried for 150 years ago. The excavation uncovered the home of William Godfree Wilson. The homes were 2 to 3 story high. They also found blue and white china, 3 churches and letters that stated they were forced to leave and was given little money for their property by the city of New York.

Larry Flynt from 'Hustler' magazine speaks about a deal with Casey Anthony. Casey is the mom that was acquitted of killing her two-year-old daughter "Caylee." Flynt said "that he didn't think that anyone would want to see her with her clothes off." He changed his mind when he claimed that many were asking why he wouldn't and that his magazine would sell many copies if  Casey was in it. He offered Casey 1/2 million dollars and 10% of the sales.

Breast ironing in Cameroon located in Central Africa is a tradition. Nine Year-old Terisia Techu had  hot pestle right out of the fire pressed on her breast by her mother for several weeks. She speaks to CNN now 18, she recalls how painful it was and she is still traumatized by it. There are more than 200 ethnic groups in Cameroon that preform breast ironing. Parents of these children stated "they do this to keep the girls in school and it will prevent them from becoming pregnant by keeping the boys away."
