What's in The News Today

Casey Anthony stays in jail and was sentenced to four years. Judge Belvin also ordered a fine for Casey to pay for lying to law enforcement officials in the amount of $4,000. She has served over three years and will receive credit for those years. After calculation of the time already served by Casey she may get out of jail as early as August.

A man was killed by a grizzly bear at Yellowstone National Park . The man was hiking with his wife when he encountered a female grizzly with her cubs. The bear attacked the man to protect her cubs and fatally mauled the man. This is the first fatal attack by a bear since 1986. Bear attacks are uncommon stated a spokesman for Yellowstone National Park.

Schools in the state of Indiana will stop teaching students to write in cursive. School officials want students to become more proficient with the keyboard instead. School officials will let each school decide independently, but eventually cursive writing will be a thing in the past in Indiana schools. "How will students learn how to sign their names if cursive writing has not been taught" is the question that many are asking?
