What's in The News Today

A 20-year-old  man goes missing from a cruise ship. Blake Kepley was on a trip with his family to Alaska. He didn't show up at their meeting point and  last seen was Friday at 1a.m. He was on the  Holland American cruise ship called Oysterdam. The coast guard an 3- Jay- Hawk helicopters did a 24 hour search. The search was called off after  24 hours and the search found nothing. Blake has been missing for more than 66 hours.

Blackberry makers cuts more than 2,000 jobs. RIM (Research in Motion) the makers of Blackberry will cut 10% of their work force. Shares of RIM fell 1% in the premarket trading. The CEO Dom Morrison was on medical relieve, and now retired, has been replaced with Thorstein Heins. RIM was at one point the leader of smartphones in North America. Apple and Google's smartphones are outselling the Torch made by RIM.
Blackberry will be launching a new device BB7 (BlackBerry OS7) in August. The new Blackberry will have a different operating system that will power the PlayBook tablet. The BB7& "will include an execution of sexy high-end products."

A serial Arsonist has been blamed for a series of fires in North Hollywood, California. Within the last four days someone has deliberately set 18 fires. The fires are set over night and early morning hours and in the same geographic area.
