What's in The News Today

Colon cleansing may be more damaging than beneficial. Doctors at the Mayo Clinic are not big fans of the cleansing. The claims that the cleansing aids in loosing weight have not been proven. Some cleansing products can cause serious side effects: cramping, bloating nausea, vomiting, electrolyte imbalance and renal failure. Some of the ingredients are toxic and even caused aplastic anaemia and liver toxicity. Spas that perform the cleansing many have no experience and can puncture an organ.

A family was driving down an inter-section in Memphis, Tennessee when a 5 ft. snake appeared on their windshield. It seems it was hiding in the engine and started to slither on the windshield as the car was driving at a fast speed. The driver posted his video on YouTube and is receiving a lot of slack for not pulling over so the snake can slither off. Instead the snake eventually slithered off the car while the car was still moving.

America is selling chopsticks to China and China is selling bridges to the United States. Jay Lee born in Korea moved to the United states 20 years ago. He is making chopsticks and selling them to China. Lee's factory is in Georgia. His Poplar tress grow like weeds and this is the wood he uses to make the chop sticks. China is running out of wood and they use 45 billion pairs of disposable chop sticks per year. Lee's factory produces 4 million chop sticks per day and that is equivalent to 600 per minute.  California will receive the last of 12 segments of the Oakland bridge from a Shanghai company in China. This is a 7 billion dollar project. This is the first time this company has made a bridge.
