What's in The News Today

The first man to die from vampire bat bite. A 19-year-old Mexican teen died last year when he was bitten in Michoacan, Mexico and then came to work in sugar-cane plantation in Louisiana. The bat bit him in the foot while he was sleeping. Tens days after the bite he went to work and became seriously ill. People that have come in contact with the teen were notified. This is the first case of human rabies from a vampire bat.  The CDC (Center for Disease Control) are searching for passengers that were aboard a plane traveling from Wisconsin to Atlanta, due to a bat that got into the airplanes cabin and flew among passengers before it flew away. The bat could have been carrying rabies.

A 12-year-old Utah scout is missing since Friday. He disappeared in Ashley National Forest while he was hiking with his Scout troop and became lost. The area is a thick terrain of trees, which makes it hard to see the boy with a helicopter. Search will have to go in on foot and horses.
