What's in The News Today

5 people are killed when a semi-truck crashes into an Amtrak train on Friday. The train was on its way to California from Chicago and the accident occurred in Nevada. The crossing intersection was working, but it was not confirmed if the lights were. The truck smashed into the train killing the conductor  and the driver of the truck instantly and leaving a fiery crash. The train was carrying more than 200 passengers and the number of deaths my increase once they are able to reach areas that were too dangerous to get to on Friday night. Many were injured and the number of deaths is 5, but that number can rise.

Residents of Minot, North Dakota are getting prepared to possibly to loose/damage 4,500 homes to flooding. The flooding that occurred earlier in the week caused 11, 000 people to evacuate their homes and the zoo had to relocate the animals. The raging waters will push against buckling levees and the town of Burlington is estimated to loose 320 homes to flooding.The mayor stated that "they can no longer save the city." The flooding is in the path of the "Minuteman III" nuclear missile silos.
