What's in The News Today

Congressman Weiner takes a leave of absence after tweeting indecent photos of himself to 6 women. He is seeking treatment for his behavior and this will require a leave of absence. His wife and mother to be is standing by her man. A teenage girl is also being questioned about tweets that she received from Weiner. Many in congress would like Weiner to step down.

The Chilean volcano "Puyehue-Cordon Caulle" erupted a week ago causes ash cloud to reach Australia. Qantas airlines have cancelled flights to and from New Zealand and also the state of Tasmania. In addition Qantas has canceled 60 flights leaving many stranded at the airport. The ash cloud is present at altitude bands of 20,000-35,000 feet. Ash ingested by the planes engines can lead to deterioration in the stability of the plane's performance and even cause engine failure.

Three people suffer from severe food poisoning at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, California while attending the Playboy Jazz concert. One person was taken from the Hollywood Bowl in critical condition and the other two people were taken to nearby hospitals. Food was the cause of the poisoning and reports stated that these three people all ate at the same place before the concert. The restaurant has not been disclosed.
