What's in The News Today

Another Traffic controller sleeping on the job in Reno, Nevada. A small plane with a very sick patient had to make a emergency landing with out the aid of a air traffic controller. Controllers in Sacramento tried to help the pilot by attempting to reach the controller in Reno. After circling the airport for 16 minutes the pilot lands as a lifeguard flight "landing at their own risk." The  FAA mandates that there will be two controllers on duty at all times.

Long Island, NY serial killer still at large and a doctor is questioned about possibly being a suspect. A mother of missing daughter 'Shannon Gilbert' who still has not  been found stated that "she received a phone call from Dr. Peter Hackett saying that he ran a halfway house and Shannon was there before she disappeared." The doctor's wife denies the phone call and also stated "they don't treat patients involving a  half way house."  Another victims sister received phone calls from the killer and the calls were traced to New York City, Madison Square Garden area.

Yale Student in Connecticut dies in a chemistry lab accident by a piece of equipment. Michelle Dufault was from Massachusetts she was a senior and majoring in astronomy and physics.
