Chowder a Jack Russell saves a elderly woman from her burning house at the Cape in Massachusetts. The owner of Chowder said that "Chowder was quite persistent  at 4:30 am barking and jumping on him and scratching at his chest." When the Carlino's looked out the window they saw their neighbor's house was engulfed in flames. They ran over to the house and the neighbor was clinking to the door and confined to her wheelchair. The Carlino's rescued the woman and as soon as they walked away from the house the window of the home blew out.  The house was completely destroyed and the woman did not suffer any serious injuries.
