What's in The News Today

Bullets found outside of the White House. The search is on for Oscar Ramiro Ortega who fired a AK-47 semiautomatic rifle while being in a vehicle on 16th Street and Constitution Avenue NW. He abandoned the car and left the scene by foot. The bullets were found Tuesday. There is an arrest warrant out for Ortega and they believe he is still in Washington.

Marines will be deployed to Australia. The agreement between President Obama and Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard is  that U.S. will send 250 Marines to Darwin the northern part of Australia for military exercise and training.  The increase in China's military might have initiated this arrangement between the United States and Australia. The Chinese are not happy with this decision.

Tornadoes hit through parts of Louisiana and Mississippi Wednesday morning. A tornado moved a home with four people inside off its foundation. Windows were blown out of schools and shingles were blown off houses. A shed was carried by the wind onto a school yard. No injuries have been reported and damages have not been calculated yet.
