What's in The News Today

A woman buys a baby from the mother. In Abilene, Texas Joana Delacruz 29-years-old sold her 7-week-old baby for $2,000. The woman who purchased the baby is Marilu Munoz 27-year-old. Both women are charged with a third-degree felony. The baby was taken into child protective custody. The father of the baby has not been identified the husband of Munoz is an illegal immigrant and he is being held on an immigration hold.

A woman protects her dog from a bear attack. In Monroe County, California Suzan Merritt 38 -years-old heard her dog yelping and she ran outside to find a baby bear and the mother attacking her dog. She ran to get the dog away from them and the mother bear attacked her knocking her to the ground. She got up immediately and put her arms up and started to yell and the bear ran off. The bear left her with staples in her head stitches in her arm and deep scratches across her back. The dog also suffered from lacerations, but he is expected to survive.

Wilson Ramos a major league catcher for Washington Nationals is rescued from kidnappers in Venezuela. He was kidnapped by gunpoint by for men that forced him into a SUV. He was rescued in a remote jungle area by rescue operation. He was not harmed and is very thankful for his rescue and all the people involved for his safe return.
