What's in The News Today

A earthquake in Mexico kills two. A 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck in Guerrero southern part of Mexico. One person was killed when a rock fell onto his/her car and another person died when a house collapsed on him/her.

One hundred snakes found in a hotel. A employee of a hotel in Berlin spotted a snake on the stairway and called the authorities. Police arrested three Chinese nationals who were trying to smuggle 100 snakes, 70 tortoises and 20 neon colored toads in western Germany.

Three people are killed by a gunman who ambushed an ambulance. The ambulance was transporting two dialysis patients to a hospital in Juarez, Mexico. The ambulance driver, patient,  and another person traveling in the ambulance was killed. Juarez is the most violent place that shares the border with El Paso, Texas. The border city has claimed 43,000 lives since 2006 when President Felipe Calderon declared a crackdown on cartels.
