Inspirational Friday

A 74-year old woman is crediting her 14 year-old neighbor for saving her life. Charlene's home was on fire and she was hanging out of the window when her neighbor grabbed an old rickety ladder out of the garage to save her. He did warn her that the ladder was old, but she used it anyway and took a few steps and the ladder collapsed. She did brake a few bones, but she is thankful for being alive, and she gives thanks to her quick thinking neighbor.

The two women were on 94 in Wisconsin on Saturday night when their tire blew out, neither one of them knew how to change a tire. Giesbrecht pulled over and changed the tire for them. They exchanged their good-byes and thank yous. He got back into his truck with his wife and continued on the interstate. Sara Berg the driver of the flat tire vehicle was a 1/2 mile down the road when she saw the pick-up truck on the side of the road and his wife waving to them. Giesbrecht was having a heart attack and Berg is a certified nurse assistant. She jumped into the truck and Giesbrecht was not breathing and had no pulse. She performed CPR and her cousin called 911. He is recovering in the hospital thanks to Berg's quick response.
