Inspirational Friday

A surfers surfs on a great white shark. Doug Niblack 23-years-old has been surfing for 6 years and he had the experience of his  life. He was surfing on his 12 foot board at Seaside, Oregon and was bumped by a shark and flew three feet in the air and landed on the back of the shark.  He thought he landed on a rock until he saw the dorsal fin. He was on the back of the shark for about 3 seconds. He was still attached to his board by the foot strap and the shark was trashing the board with Niblack still attached for about 5 feet. He finally was released from the board and made it to shore without a scratch on him.

Missing lottery ticket is returned to owner. A Tennessee man had a scratch-off winning lottery ticket worth $50,000. He won the ticket at a gas station and signed the back of it and make a copy, but it went missing on his way home. He thought he was pic-pocketed, but had no proof. A miracle occurred when his missing ticket was mailed to the lottery office with no return address and was post marked from Nashville. He is thankful that he didn't throw away his copy and the Lottery Commission stated "sign the back of the ticket immediately that prevents anyone from cashing it."

Strangers pay a woman's water bill. A widow with 3 children from Mo. received a water bill of $941 and knew it had to be a mistake. When she tried to argue the amount the city checked her meter and it was accurate. The city buys water from an outside source and could not waive the outrageous fees. Liana Cranes's husband died in Afghanistan and she is raising her three children and did not have the money to pay the bill.  Series of Anonymous donors came forward and paid Liana's bill. She is thankful and plans to forward kindness in anyway she can.
