What's in The News Today

New York Ranger was found dead in his apartment in Minneapolis on Friday. An autopsy was done on Saturday and still waiting for toxicology report before releasing the cause of death. Parent's of  Derek Boogaard are donating his brain to Boston University researchers to study the effects on athletes when they suffer a brain concussion.

Pro-Palestinian protester against Israel on the anniversary of the birth of the Jewish state "Nakba Day." More than 700,000 Arabs were forced out of their homes during the fighting and the making of Israel in 1948. Israeli soldiers did fire warning shots during the protest after dozens of Syrians rioted and broke through border barricades, 4 were killed and 37 injured. These numbers may be conflicting in the actual  number of deaths and injuries.

The woman who was beheaded in the Canary Islands has been identified. She was retired and lived close to her daughter and grandchildren. Her daughter Sarah stated "she was fill of life and had a generous heart and would do anything for anyone."The family is devastated and don't know how they are going to live without her. Mills-Westley was a retired county council worker in Norfolk, England.  A Knife-wielding man attacked her in a supermarket after stealing the knife from the same supermarket and beheaded her and ran off with her head. The man is in custody and is known in the area, but did not know the victim it was a random attack.
