Chat Me More felt compelled to write about these stories, due to this will be the most traveled week. Remember do not get bullied by airlines and if you are caught in one of these predicaments take pictures and record it on your cell phones. Have proof and you will get compensated.
An Airliner charged passengers for fuel. The plane was travelling from India to England and at the halfway mark they needed to get fuel in Vienna. Comtel airline didn't have enough money to pay the taxes and fuel so they collected money from each passenger. If passengers didn't have the money they took them off the flight and escorted them to ATMs. Passengers that refused to pay were left in Vienna. The airlines collected a total of 24,000 pounds (approximately $12,000 in U.S. currency). What the airlines did was not ethical and each passenger will be reimbursed and the ones that were forced to stay in Vienna will get to their destination free of charge.
A Hong Kong airliner had a 9 hour delay. When it was time for the passengers to get off the plane they refused until they compensated for hotel rooms, car services, etc. The airlines only offered them $50.00, but passengers held out until they each received $150.00.
