Barry Deley a Canadian sports anchor wins the $2 million lottery. His daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 4. She under went chemo for 2 1/2 years and is cancer free. Barry was so grateful to the local Children's Hospital that he would get involved in telethons to raise money for the hospital. He bought the dream lottery ticket associated with one of many of the telethons that he volunteered at and won $2 million dollars. He will give some of his winnings back to the hospital and will shop for a home that fits his families needs.

The "animal whisperer" of Venice Beach, Ca. saves a Great White shark. A baby great white was washed ashore with a fishing hook caught in its mouth. The animal whisperer ran to its rescue who is also a life guard. He cut through the crowd and came to the sharks rescue when he removed the hook out of the sharks mouth. Then he and a few others carried the shark back into the water and the shark swam off.

A mother and baby elephants are rescued from sinking into deep mud in Zambia. Staff and tourist at Kapani Safari Lodge could not stand by when they witnessed the two elephants dehydrated and close to death as they were sinking deeper into the mud. Together with the South Luangwa Conservation Society (SLCS) and the local life authority the rescue was executed . The rest of the herd did attempt to come to the aid of the sinking elephants as the mother and baby were screaming, but they were stuck to deep. The team of workers put a rope around the baby and after a few tugs were able to get the baby out. By the time the baby was rescued the mother was exhausted and dehydrated, but with a tractor and rope the mother was rescued successfully. The staff at Kapani stated that "it was heart-warming to see how many local people joined to rescue the elephants and it was the happiness possible ending."
