President Obama signed an "executive order" to stop a shortage of prescription drugs. Drug shortages have tripled since 2006 and this includes gouging prices. The reason for the shortage has not been clear and why it has increased in years. Some recommendations was to increase staffing at FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to over see drug shortages and for drug companies to report the shortage instead of increasing prices, due to the scarce drugs.
