Heavy D died at the age of 44. He just came back from Europe and was battling pneumonia. He began labor breathing after returning home from a shopping spree in Beverly Hills, Ca. When paramedics arrived he was talking, but unfortunately he died 90 minutes later. An autopsy will be done for the actual cause of death.
Heavy D was born in Jamaica and was raised in Mt. Vernon, NY. His real name is Dwight Arrington Meyers. He is know for his hit songs "Now That We Found love," "Nuttin But Love" and for the theme song in the 1990's comedy show "In Living Color." Recently finished an acting role with Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy in the movie "Tower Heist" he plays a security guard.
