Perfomer dies in Las Vegas

Cirque du Soleil's Performer Falls to Her Death

 A routine acrobatic performance brought Sarah Guyard-Guillot to her death when she spilled from her safety wire. A mother of two small children  has been an acrobatic performer for 20 years and worked at Cirque du Soleil, since 2006. The incident occurred at the MGM, in Las Vegas. Sarah was being hosted up the side of stage when she slipped out of her wire and feel into an open pit underneath the stage. At first the audience thought it was part of the show. The music stopped within a few seconds and moans and screaming could be heard throughout the audience. Sarah was rushed to the hospital, after dropping 50 feet and that is where she died. The show has been cancelled and her fall is under investigation.
