The comet is three miles long and shedding 112 pounds of dust and 130 pounds of water per-minute. When it passes earth it can cause a meteor shower devised of dust. The comet will be close to earth during Thanksgiving week of 2013. Scientist are planning to observe  the comet with a helium filled balloon called the BRRISON project.
