What's in The News Today

Baby formula may have arsenic in it. A rice-based ingredient that contains arsenic has been found in infant formula. The ingredient is organic brown rice syrup and two of the 17 infant formulas that were tested contained arsenic. The concentration levels were 6x the amount of the federal limit. Rice is a plant that naturally takes arsenic from the soil. Cereal bars were also tested and 22 out of the 29 contained some forms of rice and had arsenic levels.  Most products in the U.S. from Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Missouri treat their soil with pesticides for cotton farming and these pesticides contain arsenic. Rice that is grown is California is 41 percent lower than other areas of the U.S.

Nancy Grace is under fire about the comments that she made about Whitney Houston's death. The comments that she made were insensitive and her innuendos made harsh speculations; "who-if anyone-gave her drugs...following alcohol and drugs, and who let her slip, or pushed her underneath the water? Apparently, no signs of force or trauma to the body. Who let Whitney Houston go under the water?" Grace did not think her comments were inappropriate when she appeared on Good Morning America today. Dan Abrams legal analyst who also appeared on Good Morning America asked Grace to "apologize for her unjustified comments," but she didn't.
