What's in The News Today

Vermont school teacher was murdered. Melissa Jenkins 33, a mother of a two-year-old became a victim of fowl play. Allen Prue 30, and his wife Patrica Prue 33, both were acquaintances of Jenkins when they had snow plowed Jenkin's driveway a few years ago. They called her on Sunday evening and told her "their car broke down and if she could assist them." Jenkins felt uncomfortable about the call and told her friend where she was going just in case something happened. They dragged Jenkins out of her car and left her two-year-old son in it with the SUV running. Jenkins was strangled and dumped into the river. The reason for the murder is unclear, but Allen Prue told police he "wanted to get a girl."
