What's in The News Today

An American teacher is killed in Yemen. A motorcycle gunman and accomplice  linked to the al Qaeda killed an American teacher in Yemeni city of Taiz on Sunday. He was a English teacher and the deputy of director of a language school. The teacher has been identified as Joel Shrun born in 1983. The gunmen got away.

Apple is being sued by Chinese writers. They claim that apple is selling unlicensed copies of their books. The writer's are suing for 50 million yuan for compensation from Apple for pirated versions of 95 books from its online store. Apple has other allegations that are from a  Chinese firm Proview Technology is fighting for control of the iPad trademark in China. Apple has been accused of bad working conditions  in their factories in China. Three workers at Foxconn Technology died in a blast when dust from polishing iPads ignited, 18 others killed themselves for poor working conditions.

A floor collapsed in a New York City house. A three story house's floor collapsed injuring dozens of people. The floor collapsed during a large party hospitalizing two and seriously injuring one. The floor was on the third floor of the three story house when it collapsed it trapped one, and that person had to be extracted. The private home is located in Far Rockaway Queens and the cause for the collapse is under investigation.
