Employee worker for National Zoo in Washington gets sentenced for poisoning wild cats. Nico Dauphine is guilty of cruelty to animals when she placed rat poison in the food of stray feral cats. One of her neighbors feed the stray felines. A video identity Dauphine as the person that put a yellow substance in the cat food. Dauphine worked at the National Zoo as a post-doctoral fellow in 2010, and resigned after she was convicted of animal to cruelty.  She will serve supervised probation and 120 day of community service and must stay away from cats.

Bootleg liquor killed 126 people in India. A toxic methanol that is illegal brewed in small shops in India killed 126 people and many sick. The illegal liquor operation was in a rural poor area in India where the poor cannot afford alcohol at state sanctioned shops. Many men gathered after their work shifts late Tuesday to drink bootleg liquor. They began vomiting, suffering severe headaches and frothing from the mouth and many died, after the consumption of the liquor. Liquor is made from ethanol whereas, toxic methanol is a clear liquid that can be used for fuel, solvent or antifreeze, which can cause blindness, comas and death.
