A 15-car pile up on the racetrack ended in killing Dan Wheldon. A winner of the Indianapolis Dan Weldon 33 years-old died yesterday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. His car flew over a 15 car pile up and slammed into a catch fence around the 2nd turn. He was airlifted to University Medical Center where he died two hour later. The race was only a few minutes on its way when several cars crashed and burst into flames leaving debris all over the track.
