Inspirational Friday

A Lost Dog is Found 8 Months Later

An Italian Greyhound, Dauz, escaped his backyard in Collinsville, IL, on July 20, 2012. He left his family devastated. Dauz's family searched throughout the area, posted photos on Facebook, Craigslist and checked all the shelters and Greyhound rescues, but nothing. Lilian the 6-year-old owner cried every evening for Dauz. Then the miracle occurred when Alicia, Lilian's mother received a call eight months later from a Virginia animal shelter, 900 miles away that they had Dauz. He was chipped and that allowed for the shelter to locate his owners. Alicia went to Lilian's school to share the wonderful news with her daughter.
Dauz is back with his family healthy and happy.

Tribute to Margaret Thatcher

Margaret Thatcher Dies

Margaret Thatcher a woman before her time was the first female prime minster of Great Britain. She was so powerful that she was called the Iron Lady. She served as prime minister between 1979-1990 for 11 years. She gained popularity when the Falkland islands were re-seized from Argentina. During her time as a prime minster she was also a mother of twins, Mark and Carol, and was married for 52 years, until Denis Thatcher, died in 2003.
Margaret died at the age of 87, after a stroke.
She was admired by Ronald Reagan and they were considered political soul mates. Reagan referred to her as the "best man in England," and she stated "he was the second most important man in her life." They both despised communism and had a true passion for small government.
