E. coli has sickened hundreds in Germany and killed several people during an outbreak of E. coli. Sixteen people  died after eating raw vegetables. The outbreak is not isolated to just Germany there has also  been reports of 16 deaths in Sweden. There has been no contaminates found in Sweden. The cucumbers are from Spain and packaged in Germany and distributed to the following countries as well: Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary and Luxembourg. There are warnings not to eat tomatoes, leaf lettuce and raw cucumbers in these countries.

What's in The News Today



Memorial Day is the day we honor our men and women who have served and lost their lives in the Military. The day was originally called Decoration Day following the years of the Civil War. This day became official in 1971 and it is celebrated the last Monday in May. Many Americans visit cemeteries or memorials honoring these brave men and women. Parades and barbecues are also an American tradition on this day.

Homes are being build for our wounded veterans who have lost their limbs. Corporal Daniel Gasca lost both his legs while serving in Iraq. He was living in a one bedroom apartment with a wife and two children. He has two prosthetic legs, but at times he still needs a wheelchair and his small apartment made it impossible to maneuver one. 'Homes for the Wounded' built a 4 bedroom home for Corporal
Gasca and these volunteers custom make homes for disabled veterans. The homes are completed within 90 days.

Glendale, California wanted to put an end to their  veterans being homeless Sid Willams was  an Air Force medic during Desert Storm and Shield who had suffered from post traumatic stress disorder and this has left him unable to keep a job. He has been living in his van for 5 months. He now has full time administrative work, but not enough to pay child support for 4 children and rent. One in every 5 Americans that are homeless is or was a veteran. The VA (Veteran Affairs) has made it a priority to end the homeless for American veterans within five years by freeing up resources. The city of Glendale, California decided to remedy this problem in their city within 12 months. They will house all of their  40 veterans and provide them with healthcare. Sid Williams is now being treated for his mental disorder and will soon be housed.

Delta airplane catches on fire the breaks over heated on the taxi way.  One passage stated that "the landing was a bumpy landing and they smelled rubber but they weren't allowed off the plane until they actually saw the fire and then the emergency exit doors were opened."The plane landed in Georgia and it was was also scheduled to land in Paris, France.

High school student graduates college before high school Spencer LaFavor completed his Associated Degree in Social Sciences. He completed his studies on line at Taft College while he attended high school.
He started taking on line classes after he became bored with the high school curriculum. He graduated Taft College with a GPA of 3.25.

A ten year old boys catches an alligator while he was fishing. He reeled in his line to find a gator at the end of it.  The gator snapped the line and started to come at him. The young man had to wrestle the alligator. He and his friends jumped on the gators back and taped its mouth and feet together. The alligator was 6ft. long.

Jeff Conaway a "Grease" star died Friday morning. Conaway also played in the famous
 sitcom "Taxi."He suffered for years with drug addition. He was being treated for pneumonia, but the doctor who was treating him stated "that his addiction to prescription painkillers was the demise of him." Conaway was 60 years old.

One hundred and fifty six people are still missing in Joplin, Missouri after destruction of a tornado. The death toll at this point is 132 and the highest recorded from one tornado. Many families are anxious and waiting to hear if their loved ones have been found. It's taking nearly a week to identify the casualties and families are becoming
frustrated. Families were told when they went to the morgue to identify loved ones that there was a "two week hold up, unless there was a distinguished markings such as a tattoo." The coroner stated "it takes time to identify the dead bodies and then inform the families." President Obama is scheduled to visit the area tomorrow.

Parents are not sharing their 4 month year old identity because society puts too much emphasize on gender. The couple are even keeping the identity from the grandparents. The only people that do know the gender is their two children and the midwives that were present at the birth and one close friend. The baby announcement which the parents sent out when the child was born did not include boy or girl, but instead that they wanted to "tribute to freedom and choice in place of limitation, a stand up to what the world could become in Storm's (child's name) lifetime."

Inspirational Friday

Man saves his dog out of the mouth of an alligator, Gary Murphy from Florida was not letting an alligator eat his best friend. The gator had the dog in between its teeth and Murphy jumped on the back of the gators head and this forced the gator to let go and the dog ran off. The gator stayed a while, but took off and hasn't been seen since. The white terrier was found shaking with gouges on his back from the gator's teeth. He was treated with antibiotics, but he should be fine.

Barry Bonds is going to pay college tuition for Bryan Stow's  children Stow a Giant's fan was brutally attacked at Dodger stadium. Barry Bonds volunteered to pay the tuition for both of Stow's children.

A golden retriever saved his owners life when owner hits the curb while riding his bike. Paul Horton was riding his bike as his golden Retriever "Yogi" followed along side his owner. Horton hit a curb and fell off his bike and got knocked unconscious. When he came to he told "Yogi to go get help" after 45 minutes he was willing to leave his owners side and get help. Yogi found neighbors and started barking frantically they knew something was wrong, due to how docile Yogi normally is. Yogi lead them to Horton and just in time before he could have aspirated from the blood that was coming out his mouth.
 Horton was taken to the hospital where he was paralyzed from the chest down. He has regained some feelings in his legs and torso. Yogi's personality has changed he will not let Horton out of his sight. The Humane Society of the United States will award Yogi in Austin, Texas for "2011 Valor Dog of the Year award."

Elizabeth Smart's abductor gets life in prison Brian David Mitchell kidnapped Elizabeth for nine months. She was 14 years old when he kidnapped her. She woke to a knife at her throat was taken from her bed to an remote location and there is where he chained her between two trees and raped her daily. He forced her to drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes. It took nine years for Elizabeth to finally get justice.

Greenpeace is reporting that Fukushima Dalichi nuclear plant in Japan that was damaged from the earthquake and tsunami is effecting marine life. Japan has stated that "radioactive contaminates are declining and seafood is at safe levels for consumption." Greenpeace disagrees with their information and on contrary that the levels of radiation in marine life is above legal limits for food contamination.  Laboratories in France and Belgium tested samples and concluded that high levels of radioactive iodine and cesium were found. Fish, shellfish and seaweed are consumed daily in Japan and are part of the marine life that tested high for radiation.

A three year old became missing after a tornado hit his home on Tuesday. A dog team and many volunteers are going through rubble in search for Ryan Hamil he was last seen at 248th Street and Sara Road in Piedmont. His home was destroyed and his mother and siblings were injured and 200 hundred homes were damaged where the population was 3,650.

Bryan Stow's family is suing the Dodgers for the lack of security and low lightening in the parking lot. Stow was brutally assaulted after a Dodgers game that left him in a medicated coma.  One of the suspects that is custody is claiming innocence and he will face a line up today in Los Angeles.

Caylee the little girl that went missing in Florida three years ago, her mother Casey is on trial for her daughter's death (Caylee). Her opening defense stated that (Caylee) Casey's daughter drowned in her families swimming pool on June 16,  2008 and reported her missing a month later. Caylee's body was found in December 11, 2008 in a swamp near her home. Casey claims that her daughter drowned and her father (George Anthony) who molested her helped her dispose of Caylee's body. She claimed her father called her a misfit mother and now it was her fault why the child drowned, due to her neglect. She also claimed that "her father forced her to not say a word about her daughters (Caylee) death and that he was present when Caylee died."

John Edwards a former presidential candidate will be indicted for covering up his affair and fathering a child outside of his marriage. The governments' case will prove that campaign money covered up his affair. His wife Elizabeth filed for separation and died of cancer this December, 2010. If he takes a plea bargain then he no longer can practice law if he doesn't plea bargain he will be facing jail time if convicted.

More tornadoes possible today in Joplin, Missouri, after massive destruction that  killed over 116 and trapping many under rubble. Seventeen survivors were rescued from being trapped and when interviewed their voices quivered. President Obama is planning to visit where the destruction took place he is scheduled to arrive on Sunday.

Supreme Court orders the release of inmates in California, due  to over populated prisons. A mandate to release over 30,000 prisoners some will be relocated to other prisons in different states, but many inmates will be released to the streets of California.

One of Bryan Stow's assailants was caught in Hollywood, Ca. on Sunday. The suspect is 31- years old and is being held on a million dollar bail. His parole officer tipped off the police and his capture took place Sunday afternoon with a SWAT team surrounding the building. He will be arraigned on Tuesday. Stow was brutally assaulted at a Dodgers game at Dodger Stadium. Two other people are still wanted in the attack.

Tornado kills over hundred people and many trapped and missing in Joplin, Missouri. Survivors are quite terrified by how violent the tornado hit. Its powerful force ripped through structures and crushed them. The damage was severe destroying one hospital and a  high school. The tornado was reported as a roaring noise that got louder and  louder and floors began to vibrate and shake violently. People defined the feeling as "if they were going to get sucked up into the chimney." As many as 1/4 of the buildings in the southwest Missouri city suffered severe damage.

Obama addresses the controversy of reinstating border control between Israel and Palestinian. He stated that  "border control should go back to the agreement that took place after the  the six day war that occurred during 1967 on Thursday. This was rejected by Prime Minister of Israel. The six day war Israel took possession of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and other territories. Obama did address the controversy and did propose for Israelis and Palestinians to come to some sort of a different agreement than the 1967 terms.  The Prime Minster (Netanyahu) of Israel also wants to have peace and appreciates Obama's efforts.

Obama warns that he will go after terrorism in Pakistan or where ever he needs to.  Foreign Relationships do matter to him, but killing of American people will not be tolerated. He also stated that " the U.S. killed more terrorists on Pakistan  soil than anywhere else and this could have not been done without their cooperation." There will be no apology to Pakistan about the raid on bin Laden's compound, but it is in the best interest for both countries to repair their tattered relationship.

Iceland had a volcano eruption and caused the airspace around the country to be closed. Iceland is not allowing planes to enter or take off from its main airport. Is today doomsday it's predicted to end at 6PM according to Harold Camping an
89 year-old Christian fundamentalist and co-founder of Family Radio Network. He has predicted that the world will end today at 6PM. He is basing this information on Byzantine calculations regarding  floods, tornadoes and earthquakes. He also states "the number of gay people thriving and that is a true sign that the world will end." He also predicted the world was going to end in 1994. The puzzling factor is that the Bible stresses that "the end of the world will not be told and it will happened when the lord chooses and you can not prepare."

Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyah of Israel rejected to go back to the borders as Obama suggested. The prime minster firmly rejected to go back to the border restrains before the Middle East war, which occurred in 1967.  Obama stated that the border agreement should be reinstated because that it was mutually agreed upon in 1967 by Palestinian and Israel. The Prime Minster concluded that it would be impossible due to the major population that lives beyond the border lines. Prime Minster Netanyah also stated that the families that were misplaced in 1948 refugees cannot settle in Israel with the fear that it will no longer be a Jewish state.

Macho Man dies 'Randy Savage' who is know as a  pro-wrestler and was part of WWE (wrestling foundation). He was an 80's wrestler and contracted with WEE from 1985 to 1993. His real name was Randy Poffo.  He was killed in a car accident after his car jumped the median and smashed into a tree. His wife was also in the car and she did sustain injuries. The reason for the crash is unknown.

Mason a dog was picked up and was displaced to another location by a tornado in Alabama. He was missing for 2 1/2 weeks. He had two broken legs and crawled all the way home. His owners thought he was gone forever until they returned to their home and Mason was waiting for them. Donations from an animal clinic will aid in repairing his broken legs.

A Homeless man helps a mother  who lost her job and was living in a car with her son. A homeless man that the woman showed kindness to came to her rescue. She was being threatened by the police that her son would be taken way from her if she couldn't find a safer environment for him.  She moved into a hotel and had no idea how she was going to pay the bill. Curtis Jackson the homeless man never forgot the aid that she had given him and wanted to give back to her so he is panhandling to pay her hotel bill.

A Poodle survives after being dropped from the sky by a bird of prey. Nurses at a nursing home in Canada found "Miracle May" who was snatched on May 2, from the ground and then dropped. May had broken ribs and deep claw gouges on her body.  They think the poodle was a stray because of her poor teeth decay and her long nails. Donations from the British Columbia Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will get the poodle in good health and then she will be ready for adoption, she is 6 years old.

Believers are answering the biblical call of Ezekiel 33 that judgement day is coming, according to talk radio a Christian broadcasting station in Oakland, California.  The day starts May 21, 2011, and will be marked the Day of Rapture and judgement day begins and will end 5 months later on October 21, 2011. Many people are walking away from family, friends and jobs to spread the message abroad a caravan of "Judgement RVs." Believers will go to heaven and others will be left behind to face earthquakes and massive destruction. Many people who are believers of the doom day are from  a variety of states, Florida, California, Rhode Island, Texas and New Jersey, to name a few. The earthquakes are suppose to start in New Zealand at 6PM and go around the world and earthquakes will hit at the targeted time zones at 6PM.

Is the Internet watching how we shop and then markets our interest to advertisers? Have you ever noticed that your Facebook page ads are not standard, but instead is geared for your personal interest? This is called "filter bubble"which is invisible and you can't see that the websites you visit are different  than what other people see.  Facebook decides what news feeds individuals will see and based on what they think is your  personal preference. Google has 10 years of data of how we shop and interest through searches, GMail and maps, etc. This has been tested and one example was "google a pizza and your local pizza places are found, this is true with movies, restaurants, etc. Is it really a problem or is it helpful? You decide, Chat Me more is not bothered by it, but is also aware that the Internet is not policed.

A woman states that " she is too fat to fly" weighing 400 pounds. She was flying from Dallas and about to board the plane when they demanded she buy an extra seat because of her size. They asked her what she weighted and her dress size, but when she took out her iPhone and started recording the conversation they changed their tune and even apologized and offered her a $200 voucher.

The woman who Schwarzenegger was deceitful with has come out and is sharing her story. She is 50 years old a retired housekeeper and her name is Mildred Baena. Their son is 14 years old (Arnold and Mildred). Her home page on MySpace states that "she is a proud parent and that she is searching for a serious relationship". Mildred was pregnant the same time Maria Shriver was with her son Patrick.

'The truth' why Maria Shriver called it quits with Arnold Schwarzenegger he shared his dirty little secret. Schwarzenegger is a father, but not just to his children with Shriver. During their marriage Arnold strayed, but not to far from his household actually right under the same roof with a household staffer. She worked with the  couple for 20 years and recently retired. The child was born over 10 years ago and Arnold was aware of his deception not only to Shriver, but also to all California residents while he was governor for two terms.

'The Trump' announces he is not running for president did that come as a surprise for the American people? Did he announce that he may run for president to get his ratings up? CBS offered him $60 million to keep his show on the air " The Apprentice." He also became a big joke that even President Obama humiliated him during a  White House Correspondence dinner. He claims that he is not running for president because "business is his passion." Ratings stated that 60% of Americans would not vote for Trump.

The Queen Elizabeth II visits Ireland and laid a wreath at the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin to honor those who fought for Irish freedom from the British rule. She was greeted with a 21-gun salute and an Air Corps flypast.  In her honor the British national anthem, God Save the Queen, and the Irish national anthem were played.  President McAleese and Queen Elizabeth have developed a good relationship throughout the years and he has also visited Buckingham Palace. Many people who live in Ireland never thought this day would ever come, due to all the past tensions between the British and Irish. During her visit yesterday there were bomb scares, but no devices were found. Ireland spent $42 million on security for her visit.

The space shuttle Endeavor takes off today with a crew of 6 astronauts and the
 commander Mark Kelly. The husband of Gabrielle Gifford a congress woman who was shot in the head back in January. She was able to watch her husband blast off into space. The mission will be its final mission and it will be a 16-day flight.

A new trend call planking has its own Facebook page with 140,000 followers. A 20 year old Australian man died this weekend while taking his picture in a planking position and fell 7-stories from a balcony. The individuals lay flat with their arms and feet outstretched, on sorts of different objects. This is such a huge craze that different countries have their own Facebook pages: Planking Norway, Planking Ireland and Planking Australia. These pages show how different countries are planking: on garbage cans, cabinets, moving escalator handrails and window edges. Australian prime minster is calling for an end to planking and harsh fines and even jail time will be enforced if caught.

New York Ranger was found dead in his apartment in Minneapolis on Friday. An autopsy was done on Saturday and still waiting for toxicology report before releasing the cause of death. Parent's of  Derek Boogaard are donating his brain to Boston University researchers to study the effects on athletes when they suffer a brain concussion.

Pro-Palestinian protester against Israel on the anniversary of the birth of the Jewish state "Nakba Day." More than 700,000 Arabs were forced out of their homes during the fighting and the making of Israel in 1948. Israeli soldiers did fire warning shots during the protest after dozens of Syrians rioted and broke through border barricades, 4 were killed and 37 injured. The woman who was beheaded in the Canary Islands has been identified. She was retired and lived close to her daughter and grandchildren. Her daughter Sarah stated "she was fill of life and had a generous heart and would do anything for anyone."The family is devastated and don't know how they are going to live without her. Mills-Westley was a retired county council worker in Norfolk, England.  A Knife-wielding man attacked her in a supermarket after stealing the knife from the same supermarket and beheaded her and ran off with her head. The man is in custody and is known in the area, but did not know the victim it was a random attack.

Taliban takes revenged on Pakistan killing 80 people. Twin suicide bombing hits military training facility.  The Taliban stated "that it was in retaliation for the killing of bin Laden and there is more to come." Two suicide bombers on motorcycles targeted military recruits who just completed their training 80 were killed and 140 wounded.

A Man decapitates a women in a supermarket in the Canary Islands. A man stole a knife from the supermarket and went up to a woman a "stranger." cut off her head and ran off with it. Security chased him and was able to contain him until the police arrived. He is Bulgarian and was known in the area.

The Mississippi River is creating more havoc Louisiana's is the next on its list. The flood gates will open when levees are lifted to divert floodwater's from hitting Baton Rouge in New Orleans. This will cause other areas to get the brunt of the flooding in parts of Louisiana many farm communities and homes will be part of the devastation. This will affect 25,000 people and 11,000 structures.

A Miracle on Mother's Day when a Canadian Mom was found after spending 7 weeks in her van when it got stuck in the mud.  The Canadian women and her husband planned a road trip to Nevada. They got lost while sight seeing and detoured off the main road and that is when their van got stuck in the mud. The husband went to get help and is still missing. The women survived on trail mix and melted snow. Hunters near Humboldt National Forest found her, in northeastern Nevada. She was taken to the hospital where her family was able to spend Mother's Day with her.

Baby Ducklings are rescued when a news reporter in Indianapolis, Indiana climbed into a storm drain. The news reporter heard the desperate cries of the baby ducklings as they cried out for their mother. Many watched and a police officer stopped and aided with a glove as the newscaster climbed into the drain and captured all, but one duckling who went deeper into the drain. The newscaster did not give up on the duckling and after 4 attempts the duckling was rescued.  They were all reunited with their mother who was waiting for them outside of the drain.

Bone Marrow recipient meets his donor the 7-year-old boy (recipient) and 31-year-old man (donor) met. The meeting was awkward at first for Jacob the 7 year old, but once he let his guard down they played tic-toe and ate pizza together. Jacob gave Marshal (donor) a stuffed animal  "husky dog" to show is his gratitude for saving his life. The parent's of Jacob were lost for words and couldn't thank Marshal enough for giving life and hope back to their child.

Another passenger tries to open the door during a Delta Airlines midair flight from Orlando to Boston. The passenger grabbed the emergency door and tried to open it and couldn't, but it did set off an alarm. Passengers did get scared and the man was tackled by two passengers one of the men was a off-duty police officer. Six troopers took the man into custody when they landed in Boston.

Women were sexually assaulted while being volunteers in the Peace Corp. The Peace Corp. blamed the women and forced them to quit. A former volunteer Harvard professor Karestan Koenen was attacked twice and when she brought her complaint to Washington the female official blamed her for the attack and stated "she is sick of you girls that go out drinking and then you cry rape." Congress is now holding hearings after ABC news investigation revealed that hundreds of volunteers for the Peace Corp were raped and sexually assaulted while over seas.

What happened to bin Laden's son during the U. S. raid. One of bin Laden's widows stated that "bin Laden's teenage son escaped." The U.S. denied that it occurred and also stated that "it would be impossible without the Navy Seals seeing him and he would have not been able to climb the compound walls. The United States will be able to speak with Osama bin Laden's wives there was no date given or where it would take place (in what country). One of bin Laden's wives is from Yemen and the other two are from Saudi Arabia. All three were taken into custody by the Pakistani's the night bin Laden was killed in Pakistan.

Memphis Tennessee braces itself as the Mississippi river reaches its peak of 48 ft. The levees will be tested to see if they can with stand the pressure of the river. The water is rising quite quickly and the river is also carrying along with it poisonous snakes. Water Moccasins are dangerous snakes that carry a lot of venom and have no fear of humans. These snakes are abundant in the flooded areas residents must be very careful when they are in the water and they need to make a conscious effort not to come in contact with these snakes.

Three airlines face security scares an American Airlines flight approaching San Francisco airport crew members  were faced with a man yelling and trying to get into the cockpit. A male flight attendant tackled the man and was able to handcuff him. The man was held until they landed and was taken into custody. He was identified as Rageit Almurisi with a Yemen passport. A Continental Airlines  flight from Houston to Chicago a man tried to open the planes door while in flight. The man was from Illinois he was questioned by the FBI and let go. Delta Airlines was forced to land in Albuquerque, New Mexico due to a bomb scare. No device was found.

Mississippi River is suppose to reach 48 ft. by tonight. The river is suppose to flood Memphis, Tennessee by 7 PM.  Thirteen hundred homes have been evacuated and are at risk that the floods will take over Memphis. There are already and many towns that have been flooded by the river.

What's in The News Today

The History of Mother's Day in the United States.  In 1868 Ann Jarvis established a committee to reunite families during the dividing of the Civil War this was called "Mother's Friendship Day." She wanted it to be an annual memorial for mothers, but she died 1905 before this holiday became an annual celebration in the U.S.. Her daughter Anna Marie Jarvis continued to establish the holiday with the aid from John Wanamaker a Philadelphia merchant. The holiday became official in West Virginia in 1910 and other U.S. states followed quickly. On May 8, 1914 congress passed a law for Mother's Day to be celebrated the 2nd Sunday in May. On May 9, 1914 Woodrow Wilson declared the first national Mother's Day as a day for Americans to show the flag in honor of the mothers who lost their sons at war. In 1934 Franklin D. Roosevelt approved the stamp of commemorating the holiday. Carnations is the flower representing Mother's Day, Ann Jarvis delivered 500 of them as its first celebration in 1908.

Bin Laden was hiding out in Pakistan for seven years before his death on Monday. The U.S. is very suspicious of Pakistan's ties to Osama. 16 Pilot whales stranded in Florida, 20 miles north of Key West. The whales covered a 4 mile area in water only 3 inches deep. Saving these whales is critical because they are probably sick and can't get out to sea on their own. They are in danger from predators while they are in shallow water. They are trashing around and hurting themselves aid must reach these animals before they die. A team of 50 people were able to get 6 whales into a safer area.

Diamond a pit bull saves her owners from a fire in Hayward, CA.. Diamond began barking and woke owner Darrly Sheen to find his apartment engulfed in smoke. He lowered his 9 year old daughter to safety and couldn't find his 16 year old daughter. Diamond found the 16 year old and when the firefighters reached the girl the pit bull was shielding the girl. Everyone did get out safely the girls were treated for burns and had to have skin grafts. Diamond spent 6 weeks at a pet hospital and was treated for smoke inhalation and burns. Her hospital bill was $5,500 when people heard what Diamond did their generous donations paid the hospital bill and the money left over was sent back. Diamond received a plaque, dog food for a year, air fare to and from Los Angeles and hotel accommodations for her and her family.

Many special needs students do not participate in the end of year festivities. Ms. Davis picked up the tab for the dresses, suits, limo and the dinner and she also accompanied her dates. They were all dressed in yellow.

Pakistan wants to blow up Osama's former compound for the fear of it becoming a shrine and attracting terrorism. Osama's 29 year old wife who was shot in the leg was left behind with her three children after the death of Osama.  Her 13 year old daughter witnessed the death of her father Osama bin Laden. His wife is cooperating with the Pakistani officials, but they are refusing  for the U.S. to speak with her. The wife also identified her husband's dead body. U.S. strongly is suggesting that  Pakistani intelligence was aware of Osama's compound and was protecting him. The computers that were seized the night that Osama was killed, hopefully will uncover terrorism plots and if Pakistani intelligence was truly involved in hiding and protecting Osama.

An Ohio teenager is killed by a rip tide in Costa Rica  and two others are missing. The students are part of Patriot Preparatory Academy in Columbus and traveled to Central America to do missionary work. The seventeen year old girl was killed when she was forced out to see by a strong current and
drowned. Two boys are missing after being pulled by the same rip tides and forced out to sea. The girl's name is Caity Jones and the two boys are Kai Lamar and James Smith. The families of these children stated that "these young adults have helped build churches and worked with orphanages." The American Embassy in Costa Rica is doing everything they can to help the families.

Obama is hesitating about releasing Osama bin Laden's photos. For the fear of retaliation and popularizing the death of Osama. Many of Osama's followers would resent the gruesome pictures circling around the world and it may initiate terrorism attacks on the U.S.. Some of the photos consist of a gunshot hole in the forehead of Osama, and the deaths of his son, the courier and the courier's brother.

The Mississippi River reached levels of 43.8 feet on Tuesday and is expected to reach 48 ft. by May 11. Flood fears brought emergency evacuation of 920,000 residents. Well seems that  many are getting credit for the killing of bin Laden. Sarah Palin thanked the Bush administration and the military, but not Obama for the death of bin Laden. Former Vice President Dick Cheney claims that this has been planned for many years and many people involved, but he did state that "Obama did have to give the orders to move forward and execute."  He also stated that the determination of capturing Bin Laden "started with the Clinton, Bush, and now the Obama administration." He also "warns for all America's not to let their guard down because al-Qaeda is a large organization in Yemen."

Did Pakistan know that bin Laden was hiding out in their country? This question is being asked "how did they not know when bin Laden's compound was 1,000 ft. from a military compound?" President Obama will be at Ground Zero on Thursday to mark the killing of Osama bin Laden,  He will be meeting families of the victims and will also be honoring the 3, 000 people killed on 9/11.

What's in The News Today

Osama Bin Laden is dead he was shot in the head by U.S. Military. Osama was found in his compound in Pakistan. He lived in a residential area with barriers of 15 ft. walls that surrounded his compound. He didn't have Internet, phone or television and he had his trusty carrier that brought goods back and forth to the compound. President Obama has been planning the attack since January when they first found out where Osama was hiding out. Navy Seals attacked the compound after being lowered down from helicopters. This took place in the evening in Pakistan and when the Navy Seals reached land they opened fire on the compound. They asked "Osama to give up," but he refused and then the Navy Seals shot him twice in the head.  Three of Osama's sons were killed and a woman who was used as a human shield. After, the attack the Navy Seals took Osama's body and buried it at sea a tradition in the Middle Eastern customs. They first took Osama's brain and tested it with his sister's who died in Massachusetts and her DNA was saved for this purpose. The DNA matched it was confirmed that they kill Osama bin Laden.

Celebrations started last night in the East Coast at 10:30 PM, after the announcement from President Obama that Bin Laden is dead. Cities from Hollywood, Boston, Washington D.C. and of course Ground Zero in New York  cheered waving the American flag. Rejoiced for the death of bin Laden.

What's in The News Today

Obama pokes fun at the Donald (Trump) at an annual White House dinner. He stated "now Donald can focus on real issues like if the moon landing was real and the alleged UFO crash in New Mexico and what really happened at Roswell." He also commented that the Donald had some pressing issues like firing Gary Busey over Meatloaf on an episode of "The Celebrity Apprentice and how he (Donald) accomplished for him (Obama) to release his long form birth certificate."

The Endeavour will not Launch on Monday and has been postponed 72 hours since Friday. The examination by NASA  concluded that the external fuel tank of the shuttle would be drained of its oxygen and hydrogen propellants and the engineers do not feel it would be a safe launch under these circumstances. This is quite emotional for Mark Kelly the Commander of the shuttle who's wife Gabrielle Gifford was shot in the head back in January travelled all the way from Texas to witness and support her husband while the  Endeavour launches. She may not be able to remain in Florida due to her rehab that needs to take precedence back in Texas.

A 5 year old gets a platinum card from Capital One credit company. The mother became concerned when her son received junk mail for a credit card. The mother called the credit bureau and stated her sons age and would like the mail to stop in fearing that it could get into the wrong hands. They told the mother "to go through the process and apply for the card and the computer will automatically reject him, due to his age." The child did receive the credit card from Capital One and when the mother called the company it automatically activated the card. When she called the company again they refused talk to her because she was not the her  5 year old son "Hunter." She called the Iteam (investigation bureau) and they contacted the company and then they agreed to speak with the mother. The problem is corrected and the Capital One guaranteed that it would not show up on Hunter's credit report.
